At their recent Board meeting, Colleyville Heritage High School Girls Softball team President Chris Winton and Coach Lance Stephens introduced Dr Amir M. Khan M.D. as the Team Orthopedic Physician for the Girls softball team. CHHS Panthers will feature Texas Institute of Orthopedic Surgery And Sports Medicine, PLLC (TiOS) as an official sponsor of CHHS softball. Dr Khan has a long relationship with Panther athletes and is pleased to be named their team doctor.
In addition CHHS Softball will soon add a Sports Medicine tab to the their website and feature informational articles on softball injuries as well as other sports related topics. TiOS is proud to care and support our local athletes.

Amir M. Khan MD, orthopedic consultant to Grapevine-Southlake Soccer Club (GSSC) and GSSC have partnered with Mike Moore (Supervisor Athletic Training Program, Texas Health Sports Performance at HEB Hospital) to provide a “Speed and Agility Clinic” to GSSC athletes on August 5th and 19th.
According to Dr. Khan this collaboration is an example of TiOS playing a key role in promoting athletic fitness and excellence for its athletes. In addition, GSSC continues its commitment for excellence to its athletes. The GSSC athletes will have the opportunity to attend this high level speed and agility training/clinic with a professional such as Mike Moore. Moore graduated from Texas Tech with a bachelor's degree in exercise sports science and a minor in food nutrition. He has been a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 1995, and has more than 26 years of combined experience in personal training, rehabilitation and sport-specific performance training. He is one of only 13 Nike SPARQ certified trainers in Texas.

As many as 50 - 60 referees from Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, Trophy Club, Hurst and Bedford will participate. The game is scheduled for February 4, 2011 at the Carroll Senior High School, game times are 6:00 p.m. for the Varsity Lady Dragons and 7:30 p.m. for the Varsity Men’s Dragons. TiOS staff and physicians will be wearing pink to cheer on the Dragons as we all help to battle cancer.

On February 5th, 2011, Dr Khubchandani spoke at the coaches meeting to provide basic education in medical care including fracture and injury splinting techniques. TiOS also provided all of the coaches with athletic duffel bags containing critical splinting and first aid supplies which the coaches keep on the sidelines for the immediate care of the injured athlete. Dr Khubchandani added: “We are proud to team up with CSA to care for the participating athletes by providing education and immediate access to a high level of medical and orthopedic care”.
